The University of Waterloo Centre for Knowledge Integration invites applications
for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Area of
scholarship is open, but a commitment to interdisciplinary undergraduate
education is essential. Applicants are expected to have a completed Ph.D. in
Philosophy by the time the appointment commences, some teaching experience, and
a strong record of scholarship. The position will commence no later than
September 1, 2009. The successful candidate will be offered a cross or joint
appointment with the Department of Philosophy. Duties include undergraduate
teaching in the new undergraduate degree program in Knowledge Integration,
graduate teaching and graduate supervision in association with the Department of
Philosophy. The closing date for applications is November 30, 2008. Candidates
