10th Annual Meeting of the International Society for the History of the Neurosciences (ISHN)
July 5th to Saturday July 9th, 2005
The 10th Annual Meeting of the International Society for the History of the
Neurosciences will be held at New Hall, St Andrew's University, St Andrew's,
Scotland from Tuesday July 5th to Saturday July 9th, 2005. The program will
cover historical questions from the variety of disciplines making up the
neurosciences. Details of previous programs may be found on the Society's
website.
The meeting will give a special place to considering the influence of the
resurgence of medicine in Scotland between the 1700s and 1800s on the
development of the neurosciences. The morning of one day of the program will be
spent in Edinburgh at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and the
afternoon the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. The RCPE is about to
celebrate the 500th anniversary of its founding.
The Meeting is a residential one and will be held in 3-star, fully catered
accommodation in New Hall on the St Andrew's University campus.
The Society's website http://www.ishn.org already provides details of the
accommodation, transport, and other arrangements and will soon include the call
for submissions (papers, posters, and symposia) and registration.
