Killam Memorial Postdoctoral Fellowship 
Program in Science, Technology and Society 
University of Alberta   


The newly-created Program in Science, Technology and Society at the University
of Alberta invites applications for a Killam Memorial Postdoctoral Fellowship,
tenable for two years,  starting anytime after May 1, 2006, and valued at $40,
000 per annum (currently under negotiation), plus benefits and $4000
travel/research grant.  This is a research position, but some teaching for
additional remuneration is possible. Fellowships are awarded in a 
University-wide competition.  Citizenship and research area are open. Candidates
should have received the Ph.D. no more than three years before assuming the
fellowship.  The successful candidate could be from any STS-related field, and
might well be linked to a  university department, such as Anthropology, History
and Classics, or Philosophy, in addition to the Program in STS.  For more on STS
