PHILOSOPHY OF THE NATURAL SCIENCES
Keynote Speaker: Ian Hacking (Collège de France)
The Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science (CPNSS) and the
Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at the London School of
Economics and Political Science (LSE) invite papers by graduate students in any
area of the philosophy of natural science (including general philosophy of
science) for its second annual graduate conference.
Submissions should include a one-page abstract (500 words), and a separate title
page listing the author's name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
There should be no identifying information in the body of the abstract.
Reviewing will be blind.
The above material (abstract, title page) should be emailed as an attachment (in
either Word or RTF format) to the following e-mail address:
phil_confs_2006@lse.ac.uk. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 21st
April 2006.
Notification of accepted abstracts will be sent out by 12th May 2006. Full
papers should be submitted by 2nd June 2006. This is to ensure that papers can
be posted on the conference website in advance of the Conference.
Papers must not exceed 5000 words and thirty minutes presentation time.
All presented papers will be commented on by a member of the Philosophy
Department at the LSE or the University of London.
The conference is free and open to all. However, all participants are asked to
register by sending an email to phil_confs_2006@lse.ac.uk by 12th June 2006.
