The aim is to celebrate the history, culture, science and technology of
Recherche Bay. The symposium will be held at the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric
Research Auditorium in Hobart, Tasmania from 9.00am on 27 February to 3.00pm on
28 February 2007. The Symposium will be preceded on 26 February by an all day
excursion on the Derwent Cruises‚ catamaran to Recherche Bay, with a return
journey via Bruny Island.

The symposium and excursion are open to the public.
