Call for abstracts
 
The first annual conference of the Asia Pacific STS Network brings
together researchers involved in STS studies in the Asia-Pacific region
(East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australasia near the Pacific Ocean plus
the states in Oceania) for stronger regional STS networking and critical
discussions about S&T for the new millennium, environmental
sustainability, and STS issues of interest to indigenous peoples.
 
Abstracts are invited in three categories (formal papers, roundtable
discussion presentations, and posters) on the following themes:
 
·         Environment, and sustainability transitions
·         Indigenous people, science and technologies
·         Life techno/sciences
·         Governance, public policy, community
·         Utopia and dystopia: Science and technology for the new millennium
·         Conceptual and methodological innovations
